Alps Mountaineering 20+ Sleeping Bag: 60% off (10/25/18)

Alps Mountaineering 20+ Degree Sleeping Bag

Alps Mountaineering 20+ Desert Pine Sleeping Bag

60% off an ALPS Mountaineering 20 degree sleeping bag at REI, bringing it down to a ridiculous price of $39!

Newbies, keep in mind that just because a bag is rated at a certain temperature, it doesn’t mean you will be comfortable at that temperature while sleeping in it. There is tremendous variability with bags in that regard. Things like your own internal thermostat, the type of sleeping pad you’re using, etc. all factor into how warm you’ll stay in any bag.

This bag is also filled with synthetic material vs. down. In short, it will not compress as well as down and it will be heavier, but the trade off is that it will still maintain some of its warmth if it gets wet (but obviously, you want to do everything you can to keep your sleeping bag dry).

This is a steal if you want an inexpensive bag to try before upgrading to something fancier. It even includes a compression stuff sack!
