Great buy on this 11-piece cookware set with stove ($14.41). I can’t prove it, but the stove sure looks like the popular and well-rated stove from Etekcity (I have found many products on Amazon are the same thing, just branded under different company names). I own the stove from Etekcity and paid nearly this much for just the stove.
While this set comes with 11 items, it doesn’t mean you need to burden yourself with the weight of all of it on a backpacking trip. You likely won’t need everything in the kit. If I were to purchase it, I’d probably opt for one size pot, the stove and maybe the wind screen, depending on its weight and how windy it might be where I’m going to use the set.
I like how you can nest the stove inside the pot (and I typically put a mini Bic lighter in my set up that’s similar to this.
You can buy lighter cookware for quite a bit more money, but if you’re just getting started and don’t want to sacrifice your retirement fund for your new hobby, this set appears to be a decent one to consider.
It includes free Amazon Prime shipping and free returns, so if it’s not what you expected, make sure you send it back before the return window passes by.
Also, since this is nonstick style cookware, I recommend you invest in an eating utensil that won’t harm the coating. My favorite for the trail is the Gossamer Gear Bamboo Spoon, which also happens to be on sale right now.
