This jacket always seems to get good attention in various review circles.  The Pertex shell fabric is water-resistant, wind-resistant, breathable and lightweight, and there is Polartec® Alpha® Direct insulation as well.

REI-Outlet’s promotion for an additional 25% off of the brands listed ends 12/8, so make sure you don’t find a gem you’ve been looking for in this mix of brands.  The price is reduced after you add the item to your shopping cart, so don’t look at the listing and think it’s the best you’ll get!  My personal pick from the Marmot selection is the ROM Jacket.  It’s listed for both men and women but it appears that the men’s versions are all but sold out.  Here’s my spin on the women’s version:
