Oh and that group picture with the children looking down at your camera is another fave picture from this trip. I'd love for you to send me my faves (since I'm family and all, haha) so I can frame some of these. :)

I had to come back and read this post. It's like going back to a favorite inspirational book. I really want our 2 families to go to Common River together when we go back to Africa. You and I should go ahead and start making our dream agenda. Seriously. We might also have a Haitian with us by then, but that is even better. :)

Tears. Just incredible. Paige running with the girls, you all helping with the paintings, that woman's beautiful smile, eating with the children, and most of all, Abraham's story. So incredible. Thank you for taking us there in your writing and your photographs. I will go there one day. I have to. Will you go with me? :)

I have chills looking at your photos as I feel like I know those women and children at Common River well, having lived with them for a mere three days. Our tears and theirs upon our departure were sincere and deep which I never could have imagined prior to our visit. You had me worried with your previous post given that you weren't getting much sleep in the town the night before, but I'm so glad that you were able to pack an incredible experience into your day at Common River. Our three days there made the most incredible impression on us of our entire trip to Ethiopia.
