Outdoor Research Verglas Gaiters on Sale for 70% off!

Outdoor Research Men’s Verglas Gaiters

The Outdoor Research Verglas Gaiters retail for new at places like REI for $65.  They were already on sale at Cabela’s for $29, but now they’re reduced to $19.95 which is 70% off!

Free 2-day shipping for orders over $50 or you can get them shipped to your local store for free.

These are more gaiters than most folks would need for general hiking on well-maintained trails, but these are great for anything off-trail/bushwhacking, winter hiking in deeper snow, etc.  A lot of hunters seem to like this type of gaiter as well.  Read the reviews, from both the Cabela’s and REI sites, if you’re not sure this is overkill for your needs.  I don’t have this particular style, but I do have some similar to this that Outdoor Research makes that I use for my search and rescue work, and they’re awesome.

Some features of these gaiters:

  • Waterproof and breathable 3-layer Pertex® Shield nylon ripstop upper sections
  • More durable 500-denier Cordura® nylon lower sections, where you’ll likely need the extra strength
  • Low-profile leg shape reduces snagging; tapers slightly at ankles for a sleek fit
  • Asymmetric-shaped bottom edges are curved to fit boots evenly with no gaps, keeping dirt, twigs, scree and snow out of boots
  • Easy-access hook-and-loop closures open in front for quick on/off plus they can be adjusted for a custom fit
  • Tops feature comfortable 3/4-inch nylon webbing straps with low-profile cam buckles to keep gaiters from slipping down legs
  • Double-riveted boot lace hooks to grab laces, helping keep gaiters in place
  • Hypalon® instep straps offer excellent durability and easy adjustment; loops above buckles keep strap end from flapping

These are a fabulous deal if you’re in the market for durable, high rise gaiters like this!
