REI Lumen Sleeping Bag – Kids’

The REI Lumen Sleeping Bag for kids (or smaller adults) is 30% off right now, bringing it from $119 to $88.93.  

It comes in two different color choices (the other is a nice teal that girls would probably like better) and is rated for 25 degrees.

Check out the reviews on this one.  People have been pleased with this bag.  This bag has a synthetic  fill, so it won’t compress as much as down sleeping bags will, but it’s a good buy for a lower rated sleeping bag if you’re on a tight budget or just need something inexpensive for a child who will likely outgrow it at some point!

**Newbie Tip: Keep in mind that the ratings for sleeping bags are based on survival ratings, not necessarily comfort.  So if you’re camping plans include temps this low, I’d personally go for a warmer bag, or at a minimum couple this one with a liner to increase the warmth by a few degrees.

 

 

The men’s long version of the REI Lumen Sleeping Bag is also on sale for $83.93 with plenty of good ratings to consider it for an inexpensive bag option.  I think this would make a great choice for a tall Boy Scout!
